New Star on the Mantle of Our Lady Queen of Peace in Płock
“When you adore, you build”—these words from the parish priest resonated beautifully during today’s celebration.
October 13, 2026, another Star shone on the mantle of Mary, Queen of Peace—at the Holy Cross Parish in Płock, in the Diocese of Płock! ⭐🕊️
The solemn Holy Mass at 6:00 p.m., combined with the introduction of the monstrance, was presided over by Monsignor Rafał Grzelczyk, pastor of the Holy Spirit Parish in Węgrzynów. He is a priest who previously served in youth ministry and has been developing an adoration community in his parish for the past ten years. 🙏
Fr. Rafał also shared a personal testimony about his struggle with a serious illness and his recovery. He spoke about the importance of adoration and prayer during this difficult experience—a testimony full of faith, gratitude, and hope. ❤️
The large gathering of the faithful gave thanks to God together and entrusted their intentions to Him. Representing the board of Comunità Regina della Pace was Bogusław Olszonowicz, who read the certificate of the parish’s inclusion in the “Stars on the Mantle of Mary, Queen of Peace” initiative.
🕊️ At the heart of this initiative is the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament for the intention of peace—in human hearts, in families, in our homeland, and throughout the world. As we remain with Jesus, we ask Him to transform our hearts and teach us to bring peace to others.
At the altar, alongside letters to the Lord Jesus, declarations of adoration at least once a month for the intention of peace have been placed. Another 50 people have pledged their participation—the adoration community now numbers over 150 people! How beautiful is this gift of time offered to Jesus. ❤️
🙏 Adoration in the parish takes place:
- Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.;
- additionally, all night from Friday to Saturday, from 9:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
The parish priest reminded us that construction on the church began as soon as adoration started. “When you adore, you build”—these words have a very concrete meaning here.
We thank God for this beautiful evening, the priests for their ministry, and all those in adoration for their faithful presence and prayers for peace. May Mary enfold you in her mantle and always lead you to Jesus. 🙏💙
